BLUFC was formed in June 2008 from the merger of the girls sections of Shirehampton Colts FC and Rockleaze Rangers FC and the University of Bristol Women’s Football Club. BLUFC, affectionately known as ‘The Blues’, offers girls and ladies the opportunity to play football under the umbrella of one club. Player enjoyment and development are central to the club’s ethos and players of all abilites are welcome to join and have fun playing football.
The Seniors play on Sunday afternoons in the South West Women’s Premier League, the equivalent of men’s Football League Division 2. The U11s and above play on Sunday mornings in the competitve environment of the Bristol Girl’s League. The U10s and below train on Saturday mornings and place the emphasis on skills development in a non-competitive environment. All teams are based at the superb Coombe Dingle Sports Complex in North Bristol. We have FA qualified coaches helping every year group in the Juniors and the Girls and all coaches are either already CRB checked, or are in the process of being CRB checked.
